SEPTEMBER 2025
MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD PRESIDENT
To members of the Trilogy Photography Club:
Welcome back from your summer adventures. I hope you had good times, happy memories, and especially lots of opportunities to take photographs!
Have you seen the “bicycle” theme photos in the Gallery? Lots of imagination displayed for that topic. Well done, members. And if you get a chance, look at the photo displays in the Kiva Club. It’s great that we can share the talent of our members with our neighbors in Trilogy.
The new season of the club promises to be a busy one. We will have members sharing their “Story behind the Photo”. We also will feature, “Meet A Member”, where we will get to hear from a member about what he/she likes to photograph accompanied by sample photos, as well as learn a little about what else the member likes to do. After all, we are more than just people who like to take photographs, right? Let’s get to know one another better.
September 24 is the date for our next meeting. Our program will focus on discovering what a judge might look for in a photo submitted to a competition. The goal is not necessarily to prepare you for competition, although we hope you make that decision to enter either the ACCC competition or the club competition or both. But our real reason for this topic is that knowing what a judge might look for in a photo is great practice for learning how to look at our own photos and asking, “How could I make this picture better?”
In mid-October, our club will have an opportunity to participate in a “Showcase of Clubs” within Trilogy. We look forward to showing and telling our friends and neighbors a little about what we do in our club.
Clean your lens, sort through your photos, and enjoy post-processing a little bit. Don’t delete photos too quickly, however. Give it a little time. You may be surprised by what you like later in the year.
Oh, and by the way, if you want to make prints of your photos and would like to do your own framing, one of our members has a Mat Cutter for sale. It is a Logan Mat Cutting System for $25. Interested? Send an email to trilogyphotoclub25@gmail.com and we will let the seller know you are interested.
Wishing you light, inspiration and a full memory card!
